Below is the information on the types of programs the Foundation supports.

Each case is on an individual basis, each applicant must submit a completed application.

Education Programs

At the heart of the Foundation is the objective to enrich and expand the services to Children in care of the Children’s Aid Society of York Region. The customary of service is to offer positive life experiences similar to the life experiences of a child growing up with a normal childhood. The Children’s Aid Foundation of York Region has given numerous youth the chance to complete post secondary degree programs, providing them with an advantage when entering the employment world- a benefit they would not otherwise have had.

Enrichment Programs

Provide recreational and cultural opportunities so that disadvantaged children can experience healthy development. These children are for the most part Special Needs.

Prevention Programs

Provide support for families before abuse and neglect begin. This year the Foundation sent 120 children to camp.

This package contains:

  • Sample applications that all applicants requesting grants are required to complete.
  • Sample application that all Special Needs applicants’ caregivers are required to complete.
  • Actual statement from applicants; wording is exactly as presented to the Foundation Board.
  • All identifying information has been removed.
  • If further applications or information is required please contact the Foundation.
